Events in the Community
Basketball in British Columbia continues to grow, and with that comes an increase in events around the community. Check out our list to find what's going on around you!
Kodiak Klassic
Every year, the Kodiak Classic is held at Heritage Woods Secondary School, serving as a crucial tournament early in the season. It provides an excellent opportunity for teams to test their skills against some of the best programs in the province before the provincial championship. The event boasts a strong lineup of competitors and showcases talent, strategy, and teamwork.
The Big Ticket
The Big Ticket Invitational celebrates the start of the highschool season and showcases the best basketball that BC has to offer with divisions for junior and senior, boys and girls teams.
BCHSBBA Super Clinic
Join us for a day of learning the game, whether it’s x and o’s, team culture it doesn’t matter. This is the biggest and best clinic in BC!
Kits Fest
KitsFest is a sports and healthy living community festival. We celebrate diversity and inclusiveness for all ages and walks of life at every event. This positive spirit helps us in our aim to build stronger community environments and share our success by giving back to our community through legacies such as our park facility upgrades and special events.
Dolphin Classic
The 4-on-4 Dolphin Basketball Classic originated in the summer of 1986, over the past years becoming one of the premier outdoor basketball tournaments on the west coast. Originally the tournament was organized to cater to only Richmond’s top high school players but as the years went on the tournament took a life of it’s own and quickly became a true North American hoop-fest. The Dolphin Classic now enters its 35th year hosted once again at the South Arm Community Centre. As Dolphin continues to expand we must not forget the roots of the tournament and what it truly represents: family, friends and basketball.
BBall Nationals
BBALLNATIONALS, formerly NCBC, was developed back in 2016 by an experienced team of elite coaches and administrators—all with one common goal; to improve the existing model for club basketball in Canada. With the generous support of the Langley Events Centre, BBALLNATIONALS has grown rapidly over the years, hosting 180+ boys and girls teams in the summer of 2022.
