Tamanawis & Frank Hurt Advance to South West Semi-Finals

The 4A South West League playoffs are underway.

Tamanawis and McMath opened up the playoffs at Semiahmoo Secondary. Tamanawis brought their best as they took a commanding 85-50 win. Sartaj Bhangu and Seva Virk lead the Wildcats with 15 points each.

Tamanawis will suit up again today, to challenge the #2 seed, Elgin Park at 4:00 PM.

Frank Hurt and Panorama Ridge went down to the wire last night. Panorama would find themselves up 5 points until Frank Hurts Hamzah Abdullahi poured in 3 straight baskets to secure a 77-76 lead. Frank Hurt would go on to win the game 86-83.

Frank Hurt will challenge the #1 seed Semiahmoo tonight at 7:30 PM.

Panorama Ridge and Mcmath will also play tonight to determine 5th and 6th place.

The Central League Playoffs tip off next Tuesday and all South West and Central league playoff teams will meet up in the 2023 South Fraser Zone Tournament.
