St. Thomas More and Tamanawis to Meet in Provincial Finals

The junior boy’s provincial championship game tips off tonight at the LEC!

The Tamanawis Wildcats and the St. Thomas More Knights will match up following emphatic wins in their semi-final games.

The Wildcats pulled off a 69-55 victory over the Heritage Woods Kodiaks. Tray Belanger continued to dominate with a thirty-four-point night. Sunny Dhami finished with twenty points, scoring eleven in the first quarter alone.

The Wildcats have outscored opponents by an average of sixteen points this tournament.

Tamanawis is ready for the biggest game of their season,  against the St. Thomas More Knights.

St. Thomas More defeated Brookswood 66-49, led by Shane Deza’s twenty-two points and Zeru Abera’s seventeen.

The Knights have been in form all Provincials and thrive in any setting.

The Knights have been able to grind out wins in close games against Rick Hansen and Burnaby South. But they have also dominated the opposition with commanding wins against Semiahmoo and Brookswood.

Today’s championship final should be a high-scoring affair with these two teams facing off.
