2022 Big Ticket: Games to Watch

The 2022 Big Ticket tournament is almost here! The tournament will feature some of the province’s brightest stars and the best teams as they look to start their season with a big win.

Day 1 tips off Monday, November 28, if you’re unsure about what games to watch look no further as we break down the best day 1 has to offer.

Day 1 Monday, November 28th

#4 2A St Thomas Aquinas Fighting Saints V #8 1A King David Lions

Location: Lord Byng 3:15 PM

The Fighting Saints will take on the Lions in a day 1 matchup. The Saints will improve from their 4-2 record last season as the Lions aim to continue their strong play. Both teams deserve their respected rankings, so fans can expect a tight game to open the tournament.

#4 4A Abbotsford Senior Panthers V Dasmesh Falcons Location

Abbotsford  Senior 7:15 PM

It would be an understatement to say that the atmosphere in the gym will be incredible. The Panthers will play an energetic game supported by the roars of a crowd at home. Eastern Valley MVP Dilveer Randhawa will take the court in an electric environment. If this appeals to you, then Panthers V Falcons is a must watch.

#1 3A R.A. McMath Wildcats V #9 3A Argyle Pipers

Location: Collingwood 4:45 PM

The Wildcats and Pipers will start the senior girls’ bracket at Collingwood. The Pipers will enter the game to take a crucial victory against the reigning provincial champions. Wildcats Marina Radocaj will be suiting up for her final Big-Ticket tournament. Radocaj has committed to Arizona State University and has her eyes set on helping R.A. McMath bring home another championship.

Fans can expect a fantastic game between the two 3A squads when they begin their quest for gold this season.

#3 2A Southridge Storm V Burnaby South Rebels

Location: Burnaby South 3:30 PM

The home crowd is often a defining factor in a game, and this will be the same with the host Rebels welcoming the third-ranked 2A squad into their gym. Rebels’ fans showed out in the provincials and will hype up their senior girls’ team here. Check out this game if you’re looking for the thrill of a fired-up crowd.
